Wednesday, May 7 was Community Pride Day, and the proud citizens of our towns could be seen in a blaze of orange picking up trash and debris in Okara Lakes, Thendara, Old Forge, Eagle Bay, Big Moose, and Inlet. Organized by the Inlet Information Office and the Town of Webb Visitor Information Center, the event kicked off the spring cleaning season, which falls somewhere between mud season and black fly season. Volunteers were rewarded with a hot lunch and a free T shirt, and the communities’ appreciation for a job well-done.
